The Lie of the Land

They keep the land
to grow the food
to sell the food
to make the money
to buy the guns
to keep the land

Once  a country’s most fertile regions are fenced off  into  vast estates with macabre security attitudes, the cash crop/mineral is sold for export with little revenue finding its way back into the mouths of the starving population. The food just doesn’t make it round from land to mouth.

So change the system as many have tried. Land re-distribution  or Agrarian Reform, whatever you want to call it. Americans call  it communism, but then again, anything un-American is communist. And so  you  get invaded, or an American backed coup  installs  their local favourite. Back to the torture.

So  here we are, stuck without land. They ignore the  land  issue and  instead concentrate on us as the problem… “it’s  not  that there  isn’t enough land, the problem is that there are too  many people”.

Let’s consider this with a simple calculation. The people of San Francisco live in a very comfortably spaced environment at a population density of 17,160 people per square mile. The world’s population in 2020 is 7.8 billiion. Living at this density the world’s population would require 455,000 square miles. Let’s halve that population density to make the greenest city imaginable. The entire world’s population would then require 910,000 square miles to live out a luxurious, well spread lifestyle.

There are 50 states in the USA. The current entire population of the world could live in 8 of them – Texas, California, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, North Dakota and Missouri, an area totalling one quarter of the land area of the USA. That’s everyone – all of Europe, India, China, Russia, Brazil etc etc – all of us. Let’s take another quarter of the US to act as farmland to feed us. That still leaves half of the USA completely abandoned to nature to do with as she will. And it leaves the rest of the world – all of Europe, Asia, South America, Africa etc etc – untouched by human hand.

Still too many people? So let’s return from the diversion to the issue in hand. The land.

Property  Liberation.

The huge Third World cash crop estates  are needed  to feed their own population. If this created a  shortage in  the  West that the grain mountains, milk  lakes  and  farmers subsidised not to produce couldn’t cure, then land currently used for  meat can be converted to production of cereal crops,  fruit, vegetables  or  poultry with subsequent calorie output  per  acre increasing by as much as four times. There is enough land but  in too few hands.

Even the little United Kingdom with a burgeoning 67 million population could feed  itself. And anyway, to digress for a moment, why does the UK have so  many  people? During the days of empire, the population was only 9 million. The population  was expanded from 9 to 50 million over the course  of less  than one hundred years to defend the empire abroad.  Incest was made legal. Statutes exist (one remained until recently on the book in Bolton) that show that the oldest daughter was  to take the place of her mother in the father’s bed  if  the mother could no longer produce children. Are we surprised that paedophilia is rife when the State has previously legitimised it, normalised it?

Population Control is the scapegoat of Commodity Lunatics. By the time we get to 100 billion people on earth we will be  plundering and  colonising  other planets so even then, population  control would still not be an issue.

When  you hear “population control”, talk about “land  re-distribution”, talk about “greed control”.   Talk  about “property liberation”, removing the cash  crop  estates from  the  transnationals, the latifundias from the  Church,  the countryside from the Aristocracy.

Latifundia is  literally translated from the Latin as “Large Farm”. Typically, in historical terms, it is invaded territory granted to a favourite of the Invader, along with rights to employ slave labour, to grow crops for export.

Land redistribution is exactly that. RE-distribution. It was ours – it was re-distributed. And we want it back. It has been going on for three millennia but we still want it back. A human can never secure their own future without it. Dependency is an obligation without end. We can work for the man forever, and still we will never be free of him
