The State has 2,600 years of experience in its goal to succeed nature as the Earth’s system. Many lessons have been learned in crushing resistance and have been added into every job description and every brief in every cog of its vast machinery. But the State’s power is weakened by all but the most evil, who have reservations about its values and therefore its success. These people shy away from performing its exact bidding and will instead compromise. They forego the promotion if it means they can look at themselves in the mirror. Leave the real dirty stuff to the sociopath. And by this process of moral selection we see the end result neatly encapsulated in a remarkably long-lived proverb that has come down to us from Roman times – shit floats to the top.
State or Nature. Choose a system. Before the State, Nature and humans created their own system of human organisation and government. It was Society, except back then it didn’t have a name, it was just what was. The Romans, on developing the Military Nation State, called their evil new system “Civitas” and the previous system that stretched back into antiquity but which had no name, they called “Societas” (Society) as detailed by Lewis Morgan in “Ancient Society”. This book and other sources collectively expose the truth of the State and its purpose as well as what went before.
Society remains amongst us today – they could never quite get rid of people’s idea of how to best govern themselves. The Law of Property has now become nine tenths of the Law as often stated. The remaining one tenth is the previous laws of society and the Common Law. The State does not like to say its name and consequently, when things go horribly wrong, society is the name given to the problem. British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher went further when she maintained “There is no such thing as society” in the general Imperial effort to rid the world of any organisational structure apart from the State hierarchical variety.
But expose the evil and sing in praise of the historical alternative and they’ll section you or imprison you. They’ll lobotomise you with drugs or beat you into obedience in a Police cell. The State attacks the body, the mind and the very soul of its dissenting subjects.
You can’t beat the system (on your own). But together we can beat the Security thugs, the Militias and the Mercenaries who protect greed from justice and stand in the way of a demand as simple as “SHARE!”
They call us animals, communists, terrorists, socialists. We are only allowed to be one “-ist” – an Imperialist (or the servant of one).
They don’t like anyone who isn’t prepared to think of themselves as a slave. Deference is taught from an early age, and those who show none are weeded out and kept from power. Servants of Power must give up freedom and dignity for little reward in the anti-human, anti-natural service of ongoing dispossession. They maintain the right to degrade and publicly humiliate us and we must find it funny and even laugh at our own ridiculous selves while we are being humiliated.
They pay us little but at the same time promote what this wonderful system has to offer to give us hope that by insane luck we too will get our turn to be the 0.00001% at the wheel of fortune. They offer us a gamble, the stakes are our fellow humans, the prize is our wage. Every loyal servant puts down the stake and buries his fellows still deeper. But only few collect any real prize.
Instead we can choose to re-build the pre-existing alternative. Society isn’t a gamble. It has humans as its priority, not property. And so we all win, and not at each other’s expense. No winners and losers, just progress for all.
I have explored above only some of the many proposals that can be instigated to create a more just Society. There are many many others all put forward by Research Organisations, Public Pressure Groups, Charities and yes, ordinary people without Badges of Status whose voices we cannot hear. But these are second fixes, easily denied to us because we are not in control of the levers of power.
The First Fix, the Primary Proposal, springs from our Other Nature. The word alternative is from the Latin. “Alter” means “other”. “Native” means that natural part that is inherent to us – from the Latin “nativus”, meaning innate, as a result of birth. Natural. The alter-native is literally our Other Nature.
