But the re-organisations of home, work, school as proposed in the above chapters is a POST-evolutionary discussion. Without a first fix, they are dreams, only dreams.
It’s the type of discussion now pursued by reform groups who do not appear to understand that their endless pleas will never be met until firstly the balance of power is addressed. They waste the energy of all the people that they involve, pretending that change under these conditions is possible, knowing that the smallest victory won is swiftly overtaken by many more serious losses. Do we feel like we are making progress? Is our Society becoming more equal or less? It is not working. Forgive them. Their intentions are good – they just don’t know what else to do.
Quite simply, we are not going to get what we want because others have got possession that they wish to retain. We can’t have post-evolutionary progress without first having that evolution. And this line of reason takes us beyond the inner ring of power that tries to surround us and protect its superiors from us. We must ignore the front-line monkeys in the Government, the Courts, the Police, the Church and the Media. Power doesn’t primarily lie in words, judgments, laws and values. Power lies in the outer ring, in money and weapons.
So who controls the armies? We know the Government are supposed to, except when there’s a coup d’etat, a blow to the State. But we get the idea as well that the Corporations have a big say in this – it’s the Corporations’ foreign interests that the Government will protect when it sends the troops to the colony. When our loyal troops, trained carefully to follow orders without question, are sent to defend British interests abroad, the question that they do need to ask is whether they have been lied to. The answer lies in one tiny word above. The word “British”.
They may be told that they are protecting “British interests” abroad. What does that actually mean? The installation that they are protecting is owned by British Petroleum, Rio Tinto. They are privately owned companies, owned by thousands of wealthy shareholders of no particular nationality spread across the Globe.
Our loyal troops are risking their lives not to save British interests but the private interests of the international wealthy. The appeal to patriotism is a lie. But if our troops were told that they are off to fight and die for the the interests of the international wealthy?…
We know that other countries control our Army through the United Nations and NATO. But we can also see from the evidence that ultimately, the Generals may dictate their own path.
At the beginning of this century, Britain’s Liberal Government told the troops to occupy Ulster to prevent the wealthy Protestants from resisting the push for Irish independence. But the sons of the wealthy protestants were in the British Army and refused to follow the orders of the British Government, choosing instead to resign on the spot. The families of the Officer class who encouraged this behavior should have been arrested and tried for sedition. The fact that they were not, and instead the Government changed course, tells us where the power lies.
And so Ireland was never re-united and instead we have injustice bearing decades of war because without justice there can never be peace.
Iniquity is held in place by force since the Officer class are the sons of the wealthy Governing class. Ordinary people serving as soldiers don’t generally make it to officer let alone General.
But if it’s OK for the wealthy to suggest a course of action to the Officers then it must also be OK for the ordinary people of the country to have a heart-to-heart with the lower ranks.
Every soldier has a family to point out to them who they should really be fighting to protect. Mothers, brothers, wives, daughters and sons from their family can all ask the soldier whether protecting the interests of the wealthy is helping the rest of us. Soldiers must decide for themselves and for the sake of their families, without Officers present, what they fight for. Their Queen (and Country) or the population – families, friends and communities.
The General must oversee the peaceful overthrow of greed. This is achieved when the Soldiers decline the order to kill the people as they did at Peterloo. Power is aware that when they ask the army to turn on the people that they risk losing control of the army itself.
When we are re-united as a nation, we must soon address power where it truly lies. The people are encircled by concentric rings of power. The first ring around the people is the Government, the Courts, the Police, the Church and the Media. This is the five-cornered blockade. The servants of power who populate this ring are the front-line monkeys and it is their job to stand between the people and the real ring of power that we must now address directly – the Corporations, the Armies and the Intelligence Services.
Ask any M.P. whether they really feel that they run things and they’ll say things like “If voting changed anything they’d abolish it”. And while the people are engaged by the front-line monkeys, the real power gets on with the real business of killing and stealing. Wall Street keep up. And while they consort at the Queen’s Court, if they listen very carefully they can hear a small buzzing noise outside – that’s the people trying to reason with the Government, the Courts, the Police, the Church and the Media. The Reformists are dreaming out loud again. And sound doesn’t travel well in a power vacuum.
And then Power hears its favourite noise – the General says his troops have cleared the ground for investment in Guatemala. Traumatised population. Local client dictator requires few trinkets to run his tinpot skinheads round the jungle for a bit more target practice. The rest of it now belongs to Power. FTSE up 10. And meanwhile in Manchester, they do the same to us. We got run out of Hulme for the same reason – to make way for the investment opportunities. In the Third World they take your life. In the First World they only take your future. Should I be grateful? No. I should fight for the future before they come for my life as well.
The equitable distribution of wealth is the end of poverty, dependency, exploitation and another life in billions never lived because it was never given a future. Three millennia of non-existence. No wonder life always felt like such a let-down. If you are younger you may wonder what this means. If you are older you will know,
Time ticks. The world dies on. The General is the key and he will have the support of the ordinary ranks. One set of phone calls between the dominant international Generals can and will overthrow greed in all countries. But Generals are so very carefully selected from a very young age from the elite classes, vetted almost constantly through adolescence for pro-Establishment attitudes and fast tracked through Sandhurst and the Regiments to be placed in control of the most important institution of all – the army. The Military Aristocracy don’t just run the army. Other members of their family are ministers of Government, Captains of Industry.
My own father was separated from his 6 siblings when he was a little boy. Given his own separate Nanny. Little contact with his regal parents. Educated abroad, Fascinated by the Military (which, much later, he deeply regretted) and absorbed into the System in his case through the Military Academy at Montpelier and subsequent training under the Americans in Langley, Virginia before rising to the rank of Brigadier General, amongst other positions outlined previously.
Always a friend of the British and the Americans until of course even his loyalty was tested to breaking point. No family of his own until he retired from Embassy duties. Once he was out of the power circuit he was of course free to think as he liked as long as he lived quietly and privately. And so instead I was his audience, when his audience should have been much, much wider. He told me how the world is run and who runs it. And he told me that only two classes of people truly understand how the world is run – the elite ruling classes… and the activists who stand in the front-line. His carefully considered and very concise summary of the Americans after 40 years dealing with them was straightforward. Just one word. Gangsters. Only when I started to read the detailed expositions of American Policy by Noam Chomsky did I find exact parallels with his perspective and realise that it was far from unique.
We tut about the little Gangs on our streets, selling drugs. But add six zeros to every figure in the budget and there is an identical racket at the very top who will think nothing of mass murder and national subjugation. They have a massive PR machine and a clean shirt to make them look respectable. They make the crimes of our inner city gangs look petty in the extreme. The tutting classes should direct their tutting to where the true outrages committed by humanity really occur.
